A canopy air vent latch is an adapter created by Cool Canopy Latches, installed on a 4WD canopy window latch to improve airflow, reduce heat buildup, minimize moisture and promote good canopy ventilation. It helps protect your gear, pets, and electronics from extreme temperatures that build up in ute canopies and condensation by allowing ventilation. As cool canopy air vent latches adapt to the existing window latches, users can still lock there window in a open position.

Installing other canopy air vents, requires users to cut into fiberglass or abs manufactured ute canopies. For a lot of users, this isn't practical and will need to cover the cost of installation by a professional in addition. This is common for 'canopy pressuring vents', but for a lot of users who aren't driving in outback or regional Australia, the benefits of these aren't really maximised.
Alternatively, some users have opted into installing sliding windows in the ute canopy at the cost of the benefit lift up windows have for canopy's.
